We visited the Tower of London with its fascinating and sometimes cruel history.  Started under orders of William the Conqueror, it was finished in 1087.  The Crown Jewels are on display on the property in the treasury building.

Apparently beheadings, hangings and the like were a source of entertainment much like the violent TV and movies that succeed in today’s market.

Apparently the throne of Henry III and his son, Edward I and Shannon across the room in the great hall of the medieval castle section of the Tower of London that they had built close to the Thames.
