For our first weekend, we rented a car and drove northeast of London through Suffolk and Norfolk to check out some genealogical links. 

 

After visiting the historic town of Lavenham with is well-preserved Tudor “downtown,”  we stayed at Moat Farm in Thorndon and visited the Village of Bedingfield.
