Baxter State Park

In early July 2008, my mom, dad and I backpacked 24 miles over 4 days in Maine’s Baxter State Park.  We saw no humans during the whole trip but we did hear a few airplanes go overhead from time to time.  At Frost Pond we watched a huge bull moose eat his dinner out of the pond.  We also saw a beaver swimming in Webster Stream slapping his tail on the water.  We had 4 beautiful days!

The victory shot— we made it!

We saw an amazing array of mushrooms but this was by far the biggest!
